Histon and Impington

Brook Primary School

Welcome to the PTA section of our website.

If you regularly shop online, please visit your online retailer next time by going through the following link. Each time you make a purchase, having visited your usual sites via the Easy Fundraising Page, HIBPS will receive a donation.

Histon and Impington Brook Primary School has an active and thriving PTA.

New members are always welcomed into the team. No particular skills are needed; just the enthusiasm and energy to help us all make a difference to the lives of the children in school.

In the last couple of years alone, money raised by the PTA has provided the children with a brand new sound system in the main hall, an outdoor stage as part of the newly built entertainment venue, funding for various visiting theatres and authors, new school sports kits, food and drink at the children’s Christmas class parties, regular termly discos for each school year, garden overalls, art materials and much more.

The PTA organises and runs regular and varied fundraising events throughout the school year. Sales of school uniform and the children’s personally designed Christmas cards both also bring in valuable  income to PTA funds.

The PTA works closely alongside the village Feast and Fireworks committees in organising the November firework display and summer Feast day. Being a part of these events enhances our presence within the local community and also brings in a large part of our annual income.

In addition, we organise regular social events for the children with discos each term and film nights.

From time to time, the PTA provides financial support for Blue Smile; a charitable organisation that provides invaluable counselling services for the children in school. We are currently in the process of producing the ‘Raise a Smile for Blue Smile’ joke book. All profits from the sale of this book will be donated directly to Blue Smile.

The PTA has its own email address and welcomes feedback from parents.
