School Council

On our School Council, we have two elected representatives from each class. We meet every fortnight with Mrs Thompson to discuss specific areas. At the beginning of the academic year, we created an Action plan. This is a list of objectives that we wish to achieve to help our school to improve. At each meeting all the representatives receive an agenda which they share with their classes, before feeding back at the next School Council meeting. Weekly agendas include: Healthy Eating, P.E. and Sport and Reading. Year 6 School Council Members chair each meeting and disseminate the meeting minutes to all classes. We encourage children to use the suggestion boxes in their classes, these are then addressed in our meetings. We are also working closely with our Eco Committee to support them with school environmental issues.
