Histon and Impington

Brook Primary School

Anti Bullying Dance- Year 5 and 6

Bullying affects millions of lives and can leave us feeling hopeless, but it doesn’t have to be this way as we can challenge it, we can change it. Here, at  Histon and Impington Brook Primary School, our Year 5 and 6 children have been choreographing Anti-Bullying dances to demonstrate that we can reach out and support each other to stop bullying. Together we can be the change we want to see. We can all reflect on our own behaviour and set positive examples.

At the end of break we had the opportunity to perform our Anti-Bullying Dances which we had all worked hard on. We were especially excited to perform to the Reception classes. We really enjoyed creating our own motifs, especially the lifts as they were more complex.

Marco and Maya 5EP.

We were anxious at first however once the audience arrived, we became confident and proud to show the school our motifs. It was so exciting performing to the whole school that we wanted to do it again and again.

 Elsa and Charlotte 5AS

Performing in front of everyone was a great opportunity to showcase all our hard work. Seeing the whole dance come together was so rewarding. The theme of our dance was Anti-Bullying so we showed through the medium of dance how we can all support and help each other.

Thea and Elise 6HB

Thank you to all our year 5 and year 6 dancers for performing such an important and incredible dance display.
