Netball Schools Finals
On Wednesday 17th May, eight of our children attended the netball school finals at Northstowe Secondary College. The team had previously attended two tournaments and done exceptionally well which meant they qualified for the finals which was a great achievement in itself.
The tournament was made up of 20 schools and the standard was exceptionally high. The teams were split into pools of 5 and played each other. Our team won all of their games which meant they went through as winners of their pool. This meant they then played the winners of the other pools which consisted of Wittering, Coton, Robert Arkensall and Histon and Impington.
The standard of the finals was very high and we drew the first game, lost the second and won the last which meant we came third overall.
What a lovely afternoon watching the excellent standard of netball being played. Well done to the children and thank you to all the parents/carers who came to support the children.
