Netball Tournament at Cottenham Village College

On Thursday 17th October, a group of Year 6 children travelled to Cottenham Village College to take part in a netball tournament organised by the School Sports Partnership.

The tournament consisted of numerous schools who will play each other over two netball evenings.  The first evening was on Thursday and the second evening will be in March at Impington Village College.

We entered three teams into the competition and they all did fantastically well, with each team winning more games that they lost or drew.  We won’t know the final results until after the second round when all the points have been totalled.  After this, there is another round the teams could progress through to depending on their finishing positions.

The children’s effort was fantastic and their passion and enthusiasm shone through.  I was very proud of their perseverance and the way they worked together as a team and continued to improve throughout the tournament.

Thank you to the children for representing our school in such a positive way and thank you to the parents/carers for transporting and staying to support the children.
