Young Voices 2024

On Wednesday 17th January, our choir travelled to the O2 in London to take part in the Young Voices event.

Young Voices is a month long event, when each night (at different venues around the country) around 8000 children from school choirs come together to perform in a concert to friends and family.

We travelled to the O2 in the morning and then rehearsed with the conductor and band all afternoon to perfect the songs ready for friends and family arriving in the evening.

There were special guests at the event including a 13-year-old girl drummer who has performed with the likes of Foo Fighters and the Killers. Her set was incredible and very awe inspiring for the children.

The concert itself was a real spectacle and all of the children thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The lighting, the staging, the sound the voices together made was unbelievable. All the children were up dancing (as were Mrs Inman and Mr Pollard as well as the parent helpers!). It was an credible experience.

Thank you to the children for being so enthusiastic and for representing the school so brilliantly.
