  • Christingle

Tue 13 Dec 2022 Shona Inman

On Tuesday 13th December 2022, we enjoyed our Christingle Service at the Brook for Reception, Year 1, Year 3 and Year 4.  Unfortunately, we were unable to walk to the church due to the weather, but Tim Blake and the team relocated to our school hall where we could enjoy the service.

It was lovely to sing carols, listen to the choir and hear positive stories of hope and forgiveness.  Well done to all the children who presented the readings and for those that acted out the Christmas Story.

We are looking forward to our service for Year 5 and Year 6 on Thursday this week.

  • Rock Steady Concert

Tue 13 Dec 2022 Shona Inman

On Tuesday 13th Dec, we were lucky enough to present our festive Rock Steady concert to parents/carers.

It was fantastic to see so many children enjoying their bands which included an array of musical instruments and some excellent singing.  The children were so enthusiastic about their performance and the excitement of the audience at being involved in the Mexican Wave was also a delight.

Well done to all that took part and thank you to all those that came to support the children.

  • Santa Dash

Fri 09 Dec 2022 Cath Beal

On Friday 9th December, the whole school came together dressed in their Christmas accessories to share a dash around the school field with Santa cheering them on. To a background of favourite festive tunes, it was a delight to come together to celebrate the season in such an active way.

  • Penathlon Bowling Event

Mon 05 Dec 2022 Shona Inman

On Monday 5th December, six children attended a bowling event organised by the charity Penathlon.  The event took place at the Cambridge Leisure Park at Tenpin.  There were 15 schools taking part with six children participating from each school.  The children bowled for one game each so received an individual score and an accumulated score for the team.  It was a fantastic event with all the children improving their bowling technique as they went along. It was a pleasure to take the children to the event as they were so enthusiastic and positive about the experience.  Well done to all involved and thank you to the parents for helping transport the children.
